CS2 Crosshair Codes Explained
Crosshair share codes let you copy any crosshair in seconds. Here's how they work and how to import one.
What is a crosshair code?
A CS2 crosshair share code is a short string that starts with CSGO- (for example CSGO-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx). It encodes every crosshair setting — size, gap, thickness, colour, style and more — into one shareable line. Import it and you instantly get the exact same crosshair.
How to import a crosshair code in CS2
- Open CS2 and go to Settings → Game → Crosshair.
- Click Share or Import.
- Paste the
CSGO-…code into the box. - Click Import — your crosshair updates immediately.
How to copy your own crosshair code
In the same Share or Import menu, press Export to copy your current crosshair as a code you can send to friends or paste into a config.
Codes vs. console commands
You can also apply a crosshair with console commands (the cl_crosshair… lines). Codes are easier to share in chat; commands are handy for autoexec configs and quick tweaks. Our generator outputs the commands directly, and you can browse pro crosshairs to copy proven setups.
Why won't my code import?
- Make sure you copied the whole code including the
CSGO-prefix. - Remove any extra spaces or line breaks.
- Old CS:GO codes still work in CS2 — but a few legacy styles render slightly differently.
